SENIOR NIGHT TUESDAY
Tuesday night is our final home meet (not including A League) and we will honor our great senior athletes at 4:30pm before the 5:00pm meet. We are in need of several volunteers. As of Sunday morning only 6 of 15 slots were filled! Non-senior parents, please consider signing up for these positions so our senior parents can relax and enjoy (and maybe cry a little).

VOLUNTEER BACKGROUND CHECKSDEADLINE!
Just two days left to comply—please fill this out if you haven’t! Arapahoe has asked us to ask all volunteers, ANYONE who has contact with students, to fill out this background check. It only takes a couple of minutes. Here is the message from the school:
The district is now requiring all volunteers to complete a background check in order to have contact with Arapahoe student-athletes. The fee for this background check is being paid by the district as long as this has been done by the end of the day on Tue. 4/30/19.

Please instruct all parents who are volunteering within your booster club program to click here <https://lps.ezcommunicator.net/edu/lps/login_form.aspx?app=0%20>
to complete the background check.
Please fill out this form ASAP…thanks.

STATE QUALIFIER
Congratulations to freshman diver Collier Dyer for qualifying for State! Three of our five divers have now qualified.

ABOVE AND BEYOND
The coaches would like to recognize and thank the following swimmers for doing a great job leading the team in meet setup and cleanup:
Josh Camp
Harrison Goodman
Aaron Ives
Taylor Kelly
While we know there are other swimmers that have been very helpful, these swimmers have really stood out to us and it is much appreciated.

Championship Meet suits – Arapahoe Swimming places a high value on swimmers wearing a championship meet “fast” meet suit. We have put out the info on the fast suits twice. The “high end” suits need to be ordered allowing 7-10 days shipping. Swim n’ Things has a few high end (higher prices) suits in stock, but the lower end suits (lower prices) are on the floor.
We recommend either Swim’NThings or a local vendor-“Out of Breath Sports” on Arapahoe Rd. Correct sizing is important. Check with your teammates and the vendor for accurate guidance

SPIRIT MESSAGES AND DIVE SHOUT OUTS FOR A LEAGUE Congratulate your son on a great season!
Since Arapahoe is the host school for A League, we are allowed to provide personalized messages for Arapahoe swimmers and divers during prelims. If you are interested, please see the detailed information below. Messages cost $10.00 and the money goes to the Boys Swim & Dive Booster Club Fund to help support the team feeds, equipment, events, etc., throughout the season.

Messages can be a Maximum number of 10 words. Cost is $10.00

Spirit Messages will be displayed on the scoreboard throughout the meet at the bottom. “Congratulations Jack on making state!” “Nick, four years of swimming, well done!” “We are proud of Gage Weren!” “Senior year!!! Congrats Benji!”

Shout out Messages during Diving prelims will take place during warm up. These will be said by our diving announcer over the PA system. We cannot scroll messages during diving prelims, as it is a distraction for the boys going off the board. “Head first shout out to Geddon!” “We love Collier, Go Warriors!”

If you are interested in supporting the boosters and cheering on your son, email your spirit message to tina@sjbconsulting.com by Wednesday, May 8th. Remember, 10 words or less. For payment, you can do cash or check. Make checks out to AHS Boys Swim and Dive and mail it to the address below. Or even better, just bring the $10.00 to the concessions stand during Prelims.
